Project Open Channel is a suite of programs for ordering and displaying different media.
Example case of using Project Open Channel could be running a small TV station. First some media (video and/or audio) clips are produced. Then DBGUI is used to add them to database. Next Loopperi is used with DBGUI to create daily based program loop. This loop is exported from Loopperi trough LPlay exporter module. Finaly exported timing file is given to LPlay, which displays media clips according to it. Ofcourse many other steps (creating display layout for LPlay, etc...) is needed.
Other example case of using Project Open Channel is displaying commercials and entertainment in shopping mals.
This project originates from Otaniemi Underground Broadcasting System. Project Open Channel has been in continuous use there over a year.
